Can these two be the same?

Then is he who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth like one who is blind? They will only be reminded who are people of understanding -

[Qur'aan 13:19]

Meaning that they are not both the same. The reason being that the one who has knowledge of something has insight regarding it. And the one who is ignorant about it is like the one who is blind. And what is meant by blind is blind in regards to insight and that is why knowledge was put face to face with it [to show that this blindness refers to blind in respect to knowledge and not the literal meaning of being blind]. [1]

The reason why the term blind was used metaphorically for the one who does not recognize that the Qur'aan is the truth is because his lack of knowledge of something so apparently obvious makes him resemble a blind person. [2]

And the sentence which reads "They will only be reminded who are people of understanding -" is to explain that the reason for their lack of understanding of the truth is because they are not capable of thinking because the ability to think is a characteristic of those who have sense and intellect.
