Denying the Messengers

Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified,

[Qur'aan 38:14]

This Verse tells us that denying the Messengers of Allaah is a cause for one to be subject to punishment.

This punishment is of extreme severity because Allaah has annexed punishment to Himself by saying My Torment.

Allaah says elsewhere in the Qur'aan:

Know that Allah is Severe in punishment and that Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[Qur'aan 5:98]
