To pay to give the adhaan

You hire a person to say
the adhaan and 'iQaamah.

You pay him.

This is not permissible.
The early Hanafis held this
view. This is also one view
among the Shaafi'i, Maaliki,
and Hanbali schools of thought.

The evidence is the following hadiith:

Uthman bin Abi Al-As narrated:

"Indeed, among the last (of orders)
Allah's Messenger ordered me with was
to employ a Mu'adh-dhin who would not
take a wage for his Adhhan."
