A du'aa you must make for your own good

Du'aa is a powerful tool in the arsenal of a Muslim. It is arguably the most powerful tool a Muslim has.

When you make Du'aa you ask the King of kings. He is able to do anything. Nothing limits Him. He is unlike any other.

If you read the hadiith, you will see that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) made many du'aa. His (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) du'aa(s) are the best.

He was the best. Everything he did was the best. Nothing can surpass it.

However, you might find it difficult to make all the du'aas he made.

Here is a du'aa which incorporates all the good he asked for and all the evil he asked protection from.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ مِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا اسْتَعَاذَ مِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَنْتَ المُسْتَعَانُ، وَعَلَيْكَ البَلَاغُ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Allaahumma 'innaa nas'aluka min khayri maa sa'alaka nabiyyuka Muhammad

Wa na'uuthu bika min sharri mas-ta'aatha bika min hu nabiyyuka Muhammad

Wa 'Antal-musta'aan

Wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata 'illaa billaah

"O Allaah, verily we ask You of the same good that was requested by Your Prophet Muhammad and we seek refuge in You from the same evil that Your Prophet sought refuge from.

You are the (only) One whose aid is sought, the proclamation is (only) Yours, and there is neither might nor power except that of Allaah's.
